15 Place de la Madeleine, Paris 75008. It%26#39;s on the left of the church as you are facing the front of the church. A very nice wine bar and restaurant, Enjoy!

Hate to be negative, but we had our worst meal of our trip in October (including London) @ the L%26#39;Ecluse in the 6th. The Tagliatelle w/ Sarrano Ham %26amp; Foie Gras was terrible! Pasta wasn%26#39;t %26quot;al dente%26quot; but rubbery. Sauce was non-descript, foie gras was the worst I%26#39;ve had. Service was indifferent (even for Paris!).

I really wanted to go there based on a recommendation from another board.... was disappointed.

They serve nice glasses of wine, but I%26#39;d skip eating there again!

Sorry!

Jeff, you may be talking about a different resto if the one you mean was in the 6th (this one appears to be in the 8th, based on the postal code). Does anyone know if they are connected?

Do notknow exact address but it is place de la Madelome, on the left side of church as you look at it.Good restaurant with large thematic plates or daily specials and wine that goes with it. Refuse to sit in basement.

Berkeley, they are a chain w/ 6 locations throughout Paris. Their website says they specialize in Bordeaux wines, they also run an auction site for Bordeaux wines.

Again, we ate at the location on Quai D%26#39;Orsay (I think!) in the 6th and not the one in the 8th, but it was one of L%26#39;Ecluse%26#39;s locations, I had checked their website before our trip. It%26#39;s a charming little wine bar, but I was disappointed by the particular dish we had at lunch.

Again, I had ordered the Tagliatelle specifically on the recommendation I rec%26#39;d on another board, I was disappointed, I will not criticize the rest of their menu as I had only one dish (the same as my traveling companion).

For an afternoon break, and perhaps w/ an entree instead of a meal, it might be a marvelous place. The location in the 8th also might be busier - somehow the bustle of a busy restaurant filled w/ Parisians puts me at ease about the food.

The location in the 6th we ate at was almost deserted, it was 1:00 PM, but the food was poor in quality.

For a glass of wine or a snack, I would return (to a different location), for a meal, I would not.

Just my 2 cents/pence........

Jeff - understood, and thanks for the heads up!
