does anyone know the address of the english fish and chip shop in dinan?

If I, as an American, were to ask the address of the McDonald%26#39;s *anywhere*, I would be horsewhipped publicly on these forums.
Please try French food -- save the fish and chips for your return home.

Hi,
This link gives you the info

Sunshine - I agree when in France eat French but you really can%26#39;t compare good fish and chips to McDonalds. Whilst living in France I have never had the urge to go to McDonalds but there have been a few times I wish we had a good chippy nearby!

Hi,
We love to have lunch in the restaurant at Golf de Tremereuc near Dinard Airport. They do the best (real)chips we have found in France. Friendly and helpful people and nice to eat on the terrace in summer. No fish though....
I%26#39;m Doncaster born. Is Rothwells still open?
|||
Correction ...
they do lovely fish dishes but just not cod in batter!
|||
I agree!
The trick though is avoiding Mcdonalds!
We want to find 1 quaint little %26#39;Chippy%26#39; we%26#39;d heard was run by a lovely couple. Not a global food chain that are absolutely everywhere on this planet.
What%26#39;s wrong with a little taste of home eh?
....
Rothwell%26#39;s is indeed open and thriving in Doncaster town centre.

Thanks Alison,
We do adore French food %26amp; drink, especially the fresh bread.
Someone told us of the Couple who sold English fish %26amp; chips. Sounded delightful just to track them down.
P.S. Sunshine as a Family we go to McDoh%26#39;s too which we do enjoy. Sorry if our 1st comment back as a little cool.

Just seen this message thread and I think I can help. Hope not too late. The place is called “Sur Le Pouce” and it’s in the Grand Rue near the big church in the old town. Would suggest putting address into google maps to find it exactly. It is run by an English couple and is basically a sandwich / salad shop offering both eat in and take away. They serve traditional fish and chips on Fridays and am told they are very good.
