Gifts for French Family

We will be visiting some friends in France this summer. They have 2 teenage daughters. We%26#39;ll be staying with them a few days and would like to bring some gifts for the girls.

Any ideas on an appropriate gift for 2 french girls in their teens (17 and 19). I have difficulty thinking of a gift for an American teen!

Anything special teens typically like from the states?

thanks.

You might get some milage out of UDub baseball caps - there won%26#39;t be any trouble with size, and the last time I was in Paris, you had to listen for the language to tell the French teens in their baseball caps from the American ones in theirs.

Thanks for the idea!

Unless you know the girls already, I wonder if it might be more suitable to simply bring a gift or gifts for that whole family. For instance, a coffee table book of Puget Sound or the Pacific Northwest or some distinctive Northwest delicacy (other than geoducks). It is the parents, I assume, who are the real hosts in this situation.

But again, it depends on how well you know the family already.
