Can someone tell me - Is the St Gervais Les Bains train station the same as the Le Fayet train station? When I go to book my ticket through Rail Europe, the only station that comes up is St Gervais Les Bains. However, when I speak to hotels in St Gervais, they say the nearest station is Le Fayet. I just want to make sure.

Not sure about the station names but you will almost certainly have to change trains at Le Fayet as the train up to St Gervais is a cog wheel jobby.

The nearest station to St Gervais is called St gervais les bains, but it is in Le fayet in the valley. There is then the small funicular/cog railway up tp the town of St Gervais. Not sure how log the train takes but it is a 5/10 minute drive.
