Lac Blanc - Access???

What is the easiest way of reaching Lac Blanc?

We would be in Chamonix for a day only.

Is the journey tiring and worth a trip as i am not hiking kinda person but i surely enjoy the lakes and snow capped peaks in the backdrop.

Any suggestions...

Drive, or take the Chamonix bus to Les Praz. You can get a lift ticket on the FLegere lift from Les Praz - they do around-trip ticket that includes the cable car and the chairlift to the Flegere. A walk of around 90 minutes, mainly on reasonable paths, will take you to Lac Blanc without too much ascent. Descend to the Flegere to use the remaining portion of your ticket to get back to Las Praz.

Not too desperate a day, but very rewarding in terms of scenery.

Even less strenuous is to take the Train to Montenvers then walk to the midway station on the Aiguille du Midi cable car, and descend by cable car from there. About 2 hours, quite gentle !

Even easier than that is to take the Brevent lift from CHamonix and stroll around at Planpraz or the Brevent summit - great views (but there%26#39;ll be a lot of people around !)

The Brevent lift will be shut this summer whilst a new one is installed ready for next winter.
