Lourdes - Is it safe to go there alone?

When I was in Medjugorje I had never felt so safe in my life. I needn%26#39;t worry about being robbed or raped. Everybody was so helpful and kind. I wasn%26#39;t the least scared even when I was climbing those rocky hills alone. Walking from my hotel to Apparition Hill and Cross Mountain wasn%26#39;t a ahort distance either and at times there wasn%26#39;t anyone in sight at all. However I always returned safe and sound. Can I do the same in Lourdes? Are there any snatch-theft and robbery cases in Lourdes? Are there any rape cases in Lourdes? If there are, how often do they happen? Please advise. Thank you.

Checked you travel map...gurl, you%26#39;ve been a lot of places where the concern of safety is well-placed! Lourdes is quite safe. You%26#39;ll be fine. Use common sense (as usual). No need to worry.

I don%26#39;t know any statistics concerning crime in Lourdes but I agree with the above poster. Just use normal common sense as a traveler.

I visited Lourdes just a few weeks ago and I felt completely safe. As 2 young females we weren%26#39;t worried day or night for our safety. Like most cities that attract tourists, there are many gypsies and beggars, so just use general caution when you interact with them.
