HI,
Anyone know how i can travel from Bordeaux Airport to Bergerac. I am travelling in June mid week and wondered the best way to travel this route and back again. Anyone with advice would be appreciated, is there a bus or train for example and is it available 7/7 days. Thanks

Try this web site for train schedules (I would think a train would be your best bet other than renting a car): bonjourlafrance.net/france-trains/tgv-medite… . If you decide to book, however, you likely will get a much better price by booking directly on the SNCF web site (it%26#39;s just harder to check out schedules, etc., because you can%26#39;t see and compare as you can on this site). You will, hoevever, need to get to the train station (city center) from the airport. I%26#39;m guessing there are regular shuttles, and most likely a taxi wouldn%26#39;t be all that expensive.

There are regular shuttles from the airport to the train station, but you%26#39;ll need to go to SNCF.com to check schedules. A taxi would not be inexpensive, as Bergerac is more than an hour from Bordeaux. Unless you%26#39;re staying right in town and doing nothing outside, I%26#39;d suggest renting a car. There%26#39;s so much in the area and public transport between towns in France is not great. Why limit yourself?

You can view the current train timetable between Bordeaux and Begerac at
ter-sncf.com/Images/Sarlat%20-%20Bordeaux_tc…
be aware that owing to reconstruction work some trains are replaced by buses on certain dates.
This timetable is in force until 5th July.

Sorry I should have pointed out that these are all regional/local trains. Advanced booking is neither necessary nor available. except by any connections involving a change of train at Libourne which has caught me out in the past. Many trains between Bordeaux and Libourne are TGV or Intercity where reservations are compulsory and I saw the word %26#39;COMPLET%26#39; come up when I tried to by a ticket for the journey last year!
