I am going to Paris in about a week and i%26#39;m trying to find a good french restaurant in the eiffle tower area. I know of the restaurants in the eiffle tower, but they are a little to pricey for me. Any suggestions?

Cafe Constant on rue Saint Dominique (not that romantic but typical) and le Petit Troquet rue de lexposition (I think that is the street). There are many restaurants in that area in all price ranges.
|||
Au Bon Accueil, 14, rue de Monttessuy / 75007, is only a few blocks from the tower, you can see it from the sidewalk in front of the restaurant. Food is very good, not sure if I%26#39;d call it moderate, I think dinner for 2 w/ a good bottle of wine was 150 Euro - it%26#39;s typically crowded but the front desk at your hotel should be able to make a reservation for you.

Les Ombres has wonderful food and service. It has a beautiful view of the Eiffel tower, Seine, the bateaux’s, Tracadero and Montmartre. Lunch is the better value, but they turn the lights down low to better see the Eiffel Tower in the evening. It is located on top of the Branly museum. Can%26#39;t seem to find their web site. I%26#39;m sure you can Google it. They have views from inside of the restaurant and a sample menu with prices. It%26#39;s a bit spendy, but not silly like Jules Verne.

You can see photos and check prices for Les Ombres at www.bestrestaurantsparis.com (and reserve online as well).
Au Bon Acceuil is not particularly romantic. When the place is full, it%26#39;s a bit loud. From one or two tables on the terrace, there%26#39;s a straight on view of the Tour Eiffel. As you can imagine, those tables are difficult to come by. There%26#39;s a reasonably priced prix fixe menu (I dare you to stick to) in the mid €30%26#39;s to my recollection. Otherwise, it can be expensive.
We loved Cafe de l%26#39;Esplanade! The food and the ambience. But, it%26#39;s pricey.
For low (for Paris) prices with good food, Le P%26#39;Tit Troquet is adorable with very good food. Last September 3-course prix fixe was €31. Best to reserve, as it%26#39;s small and often fully booked.
Bistro de Breteuil has a prix fixe menu for €34 (to my recollection) which includes three courses, an aperatif, and bottle of wine to share.
One of our favorite spots, across the river in the 16th, is Le Tournesol (http://www.le-tournesol.fr/). Vintage decor, low prices, very good food. Beautiful outdoor terrace. No views of Tour Eiffel, but it%26#39;s within view quickly as you stroll back along the river.
But, there are any number of places throughout the 7th with good prices and food. In Paris, a place does not have to be fancy and expensive to be romantic.
Take a walk down rue de l%26#39;Exposition (location of Le P%26#39;Tit Troquet), where you%26#39;ll find several small places with low (again, for Paris) prices.

My wife and I had a very initmate lunch at le Petit Troquet rue de lexposition in October last year. It is a very small establishment and I believe the owner took our order and served us. I had steak and my wife had chicken. I guess it was because it was our first formal meal but it was wonderful.
FYI

I want to second Le P%26#39;tit Troquet, good food, reasonably priced, run by a husband/chef and his wife/hostess, and their daughter often assists in the small dining room.
And it%26#39;s a very %26quot;romantic%26quot; setting, what with its old copper pots and the like on the walls.
My wife and I have been making that a regular stop for nearly 20 years.

I would go to au bon accuiel. Even if you don%26#39;t sit outside with the amazing view of the Eiffel Tower when you come out of the restaurant it will take your breath away. It does get very busy but not in a raucus way. If you want to spend the night with truly fabulous food and really fantastic waiting staff go here is worth a little splurge

Le P%26#39;Tit Troquet-- What is the proper attire for a dinner here? Just so i know what to expect and dress for the standard. Men %26amp; women!
Thank you!

Petit Troquet: no particular attire. Dress nicely like you would for a special moment in a restaurant in New York.

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH...or should i say..Merci beaucoup!!
