West of Toulon or East of Toulon (for beaches/towns)?

We can either stay around the Bandol area (west of Toulon airport) or around Cavalaire (to the east). Hopefully there are decent beaches around both areas, with interesting local towns etc to visit.

So which stretch of coast would get your vote?

There are lovely beachse at both places - the Var is known for its sandy beaches. The beach at Cavalaire stretches for 3 kilometres.

Could not possibly choose for you but it you want any information about Cavalaire just ask (I have a house there).

I know this is a few months ago but I would say east of Toulon gets my vote...There is Hyeres which is a few miles east out of Toulon, also Presqu%26#39;ile de Giens which juts out on the coast %26amp; is a nice beach.

Also, you could take a trip to les Iles d%26#39;Hyères- I have been to Port Cros %26amp; it was lovely!

Hyeres is gorge. Of course if you go right to the west, there is also Cassis, small and beautiful with beaches AND cliffs.
