Eating at the Eiffel Tower

Could anyone advise if it is worthwhile to have lunch/dinner in one of the Eiffel tower restaurants. We have 2 children, 8 and 10 years, so it wont be cheap - figure we will do the lunch menu - but others have said, evening is best. Any advice?

It%26#39;s really up to you - you already know that you pay for the privilege to dine in the Tower. However, recent posts have indicated the new management (Guy Savoy?) has improved the dining experience. Many posters have also noted that, especially for lunch) they accommodate children quite nicely.

You know what you%26#39;re getting into, it would be quite a nice experience to share w/ the family, although not cheap! - assuming that you get the same level of service/treatment that I have seen posted recently (big assumption) I think you and your family would enjoy the experience.

I%26#39;d do a search just to confirm the level of service/quality remains what you hope for.

we just had lunch there today - at Altitude 95 on the first viewing platform. It is not all that much more expensive than other nearby cafes and restaurants. They have a menu or you can order a la carte. There is a children%26#39;s menu for 12 euros - 3 courses - it looked excellent.

Our total bill for 1 entree, 2 mains, a bottle of wine (which was quite expensive - ie not the cheapest on the list) and a large bottle of mineral water was 122 euros. It was a beautiful sunny day and we had a most enjoyable time.

You also get to jump the ticket and lift queue if you have a restaurant reservation - which is a must - phone number and menu are on the web.

We had three children and we went to a side street to a patisserie and got the best chicken sandwiches and pastries. Earlier we had gone to an outdoor market and picked up absolutely delicious raspberries and strawberries. We picnicked on the grounds of the Eiffel Tower and it was wonderful.
