walk to town from cruise ship's tender drop off ?

Is it an easy walk to town from where the cruise ship tender drops you off ? How far?

The old town is a short walk, lovely walled city with lots of shops restaurants and bars, plus small sandy beaches. The grand plage is a short walk.
