Metro Pass for 3 days if traveling to Zones 4 and 5

hi,

Never been to Paris before (Trip: May 22 - 24), but hearing alot of the 10 ticket Carnets. My question is, we are staying a couple blocks from the Louvre but on our first full day (Thurs) in Paris we will need to travel out to Rolland Garros (the French Open). It is located:

Metro

Line 9: Mairie de Montreuil - Pont de Sèvres (stations Michel-Ange Auteuil, Michel-Ange Molitor or Porte de Saint-Cloud)

Line 10: Gare d%26#39;Austerlitz-Boulogne (station porte d%26#39;Auteuil)

The third day (Sat.), we are travelling out to Versailles.

Should we just wait and buy the carnets in Paris or get a three day Zone 1-6 metro pass online before we leave?

Thanks for any help!

All metro travel is within zones 1 and 2. Versailles is in zone 4, so I can%26#39;t see that you would need a ticket covering zones 1-6.

The best option is to buy a carnet for your Roland Garros trip and individual tickets for the RER train to Versailles. You can do a search in the white box above which will give you loads of info re getting to Versailles and costs of tickets etc.

Have a great trip

If you can get there by regular Metro....all you need is an ordinary Ticket. ***EVERY*** station that can be reached by regular Metro ligne(s) is technically within Zone 1-2. So CARNET%26#39;s as required will probably serve your purpose and proposed itinerary best.

Chateau de Versailles is located out in Transportation Zone 4, at the end of the RER %26#39;C-5%26#39; ligne, at VERSAILLES-Rive Gauche station. For this single round-trip out of Paris, you will probably be best served by purchasing a separate RER ticket (5,60€ r/t/)

Thanks for the help! I%26#39;ll just get my tickets once I%26#39;m in Paris.
