Rosy, please tell me why you would want to stay in that area, rather poor choice.

As for rooms in June, well, June is like a super busy month, but I suppose there will be a rooms somewhere ,, but not likely a very nice one, and frankly what are you going to do, just walk around the area( bleak) and go and look for hotels.

Book ahead.

we are staying by the train station because thats where we are going to be arriving and we are just going to there for that 1 day and the next morning we are leaving to go to brugge. i know its not a great area but we are going to get on a hoho bus for the day to take us around.

MERCURE HÔTEL TERMINUS NORD (3-star) 12 Blvd, Denain (at rue Dunkerque) 75010-- mercure.com/mercure/…fiche_hotel.shtml

located directly across the avenue from the front doors of Gare du Nord. The stop for the L%26#39;Open Tour bus is on the same corner.

But I wouldn%26#39;t be inclined to just arrive in Paris via Eurostar without a hotel reservation...especially for an overnight visit. Even if you%26#39;re your name is Joe and you%26#39;re leading an a_ss, carrying your pregnant girlfriend, Mary....you could WASTE a fair amount of time trying to find room at an inn.

If you only have 1 day then you definitely don%26#39;t want to waste time wandering around looking for somewhere to stay. Book something soon. There are several hotels in the immediate area. Probably the Mercure Terminus Nord (part of the Accor chain) is a good place to start. It doesn%26#39;t get fabulous reports and I have never stayed there but it has lots of rooms and is right across the road from the station.
