Depends which end of the Boulevard you are. It%26#39;s very long! The end nearest the sea is not too far from the Old Town or the Pedestrian zone (about a 10/15 minute walk. It%26#39;s also on the new tramline, I believe, so you can always hop on that. May be a bit of traffic noise - do you have double glazing?

It is a busy road that runs from the promenade in land with a supermarket and several small shops, plus numerous eating places, the area is quite ok in my opinion, depends how far up the Boulevard Gambetta you are, but most things within 15 minute stroll,

The details on the apt are: It is literally a stone throw away from the beach. It is set within a Art deco building, self-catering apartment doesnt give the full address on it!!!!

Before booking I would ask for the address so you can look it up on google or mappy.

Gambetta has several lanes of traffic so you should find out which floor you will be on - anything below 3 or 4 will be too noisy. Also at that time of the year it will need air con otherwise the noise, with windows open, will be intolerable.

I would also agree that you need to know where in the Bvd the apartment is because the end closest to the Prom is acceptable, anything more than 3-4 blocks back and yuo might want to rethink.

The tram doesn%26#39;t run close to Gambetta in the area you would want to be.

Got the apartment address its:- 6 Boulevard Gambetta

06000 Nice. So if anyone would know if this is quite central and a good spot for a holiday

I think your apartment is one block back from the Promenade des Anglais, where Rue Gambetta intersects with Rue de France.
