Problem with SNCF online payment?

The SNCF webpage (www.voyages-sncf.com) is rejecting my Visa check card for payment, giving the error that my financial institution is not allowing the payment. The first time this happened, I called my bank and, indeed, they had rejected the payment for potential fraud purposes (large charge coming from Europe when I am supposedly in the US). I arranged with the bank to allow charges from Europe, and I tried again with SNCF the next day. Same rejection message, so I called the bank again, and they did not receive the request for payment.

Am I now just out of luck with SNCF? I couldn%26#39;t find a phone number for them on the website. Any suggestions on how to resolve this?

By the way, I also get a weird error saying %26quot;foreign reservations%26quot; are not being accepted on one of the Elipsos trains, even though the Elipsos site shows plenty of spots yet. It allows me to reserve in one direction, but not the other. ??

Try during daytime hours in France . Its 5 am right now. They sometimes take down the payment system deep in the night. You might also try another card.

I had the exact same problem last night with my wifes Capital One card. 2 times we called the credit card company and both times they said they will authorize the payment. This morning I finally had it and used my Chase card, even though it has a 3% surcharge for foriegn transactions...but it went thru the first time.
