Nice hotel in Latin Quarter-Saint Michel, 5é???

My fiancé and I a last minute break to Paris for next weekend, 7th September.

I%26#39;m looking for a nice hotel in the Latin Quarter - Saint Michel.

We are budgeting up to 200 euro per room per night.

Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated for our flying visit!

Check out---

HÔTEL HENRI IV-Rive Gauche (3-star)--9-11 rue Saint Jacques (at rue Galande / rue Saint Severin), Metro: Cluny-La Sorbonne %26amp; Saint Michel...RER: Saint Michel-Notre Dame--

thanks for that, kdk - I%26#39;ve just sent off a reservation request for the Henri IV - your first suggestion.

thanks a million! I really appreciate it!!

My husband and I will be staying at the Hotel du Levant - 5e - Latin Qtr. Can anyone recommend good restaurants within walking distance - where food poisoning and bacteria are not a problem? I have been reading that restaurants on Rue de la Huchette are not really reliable re. cleanliness in food handling. We are looking for bistros, but are open to anything good which will not break the bank. thanks fo any suggestions.

Here are a couple you might try:

La Lozere

4 r. Hautefeuille

01 44 54 55 66

Le Reminet

3 r. Grands Degres

01 44 07 04 24

Reservations may not be strictly necessary at either place, but you may have trouble with Le Reminet if you don%26#39;t have one. Do try the fine aligot at La Lozere. They serve it on Thursday nights.

Thanks so much for the suggestions! That aligot sounds scrumptious!

You won%26#39;t be limited to restaurants in the 5eme...as the neighborhoods of the upper-5eme-Latin Quarter, 4eme--Île Saint Louis and the upper-6eme-Saint Germain des Prés %26#39;..flow..%26#39; together almost seamlessly along the Seine...within very pleasant, easy strolling/walking distances.

But in the upper-5eme-Latin Quarter, check out these good choices--

L%26#39; ATELIER MÂITRE ALBERT--1 rue Mâitre Albert (btwn: quai de Montebello %26amp; Place Maubert) 75005, Metro: Maubert-Mutualité--

ateliermaitrealbert.com/fr/…maitreAlbert.html

RESTAURANT Le COUPE-CHOU--9-11 rue Lanneau (at impasse Chartier) 75005, Metro: Maubert-Mutualité--

http://www.lecoupechou.com/

For a broader selection (in the shortest span of time) of restaurant recommendations and suggestions in the general area; try using the %26#39;..SEARCH IN:..%26#39; feature of this TA site (located below the Green line on the main TA %26#39;..PARIS FORUM..%26#39; topics page) using %26#39;..Restaurants in 5th %26amp; 6th..%26#39; as your basic search criteria.

It would just be a short walk to the Brasserie D%26#39;Ile St. Louis across the bridge at 55 quai Bourbon.
