Anybody stayed at Hotgel Est lately?

Hi

Can anybody tell me anything about Hotel Est on Magenta Boulevard? We are staying there for 3 days in July but some negative reviews have got me a tiny bit worried.

Mind you I only intend to sleep there and I am fully expecting something quite chintzy and grannified and I have stayed in enough chintzy b%26amp;b%26#39;s not to be bothered by that.

Thanks loads

Jules

Hi --

It has a rating of 7/10 on Venere.com - with the major complaint being small rooms - it%26#39;s Europe - the rooms are small unless you want to pay a whole lot more than this hotel costs.

There are some extra pictures on Venere.com, and it looks fine to me. I wouldn%26#39;t worry too much. I%26#39;d stay there sometime if they had a last minute room - I can%26#39;t plan very far ahead so I don%26#39;t often have much of a choice.

The one thing I would do is find a shop in the neighbourhood for cheese and yogurt - I need protein in the morning - I don%26#39;t know how the French and Italians do it - so I pick up supplies every night on my way back to the hotel.

Additionally - buy yourself some fresh flowers for your room - sometimes I even take them down to the breakfast room for my table - they always brighten my stay.

It%26#39;s a 3 star because it has a lift - elevator and 24 hour Reception - but it%26#39;s my guess that the sheets and towels are changed twice a week - that%26#39;s something that horrifies Americans - as if they change their own sheets and towels daily - but it%26#39;s one of the reasons that the hotel is so affordable.

I have such dry skin that my preference is to keep the same sheets and towels for my entire stay - fresh ones rub my elbows and knees raw. So I%26#39;m quite happy in a one star.

I think this hotel will be quite adequate for you and you should find some affordable cafes in the immediate neighbourhood. I%26#39;m sure you%26#39;ll enjoy your holiday.

Bon voyage.
