Possibly.

Many vendors no longer accept travelers checks. You probably can cash them at banks but as ATMs have become ubiquitous, travelers check have become virtually obsolete.

your hotel will accept your traveller checks in payment for the bill and some will cash them for you. Banks will cash them for you also but I would take some cash with me. I always do since my hotel has a safe in every room and I take out a hundred or so as needed.

If you have got the time before your holiday and have not already bought the travellers cheques, then your best bet is to open a Nationwide Flexaccount. With this you will get a debit card and you can use this in ATMs abroad to draw money without any charges. Last week I bought some euros to take with me and the exchange rate was 1.226 to the pound but withdrawing cash while I was away I got a rate of 1.27. Obviously as it is a debit card you can also use it in shops, hotels, restaurants etc. Just put enough money in your Flexaccount before you go away.

I hope that helps you, if not for this time but for future visits.
