Need advice for planning Bayeux visit from London/Paris?

I am taking my son and nephew (both 15) to London/Paris for 8 nights this August. We arrive Fri am in London, and will spend 2 or 3 nights there, and then take the Eurostar to Paris. The only firm thing I have booked in Paris is a B%26amp;B stay, Tue thru Thur. We fly home on Sat. I am trying to figure out what is the best way to do a D-Day tour, and maybe MSM - but the war sites are more important to me. I don%26#39;t want to wear the boys out, but we are all in great shape physically. Also we all are WWII nuts, so I do want to see whatever we can. I just don%26#39;t know logically, what approach is best. Here is my schedule so far:

Fri - arrive London am, sightsee, hotel

Sat - sightseeing in London, stay in hotel

-------------------------here is where I need help!

Sun - sightseeing in London, stay in hotel

Mon - early train to Paris, train to Bayeux -

the earliest we could be there is 12:46 - and that is taking the 6:30 train out of

London, maybe a half day tour if we can

make it, or MSM, hotel in Bayeux

Tues - full day battle tour, or MSM, eve. train

back to Paris

OR

Sun - breakfast in London, train to Paris,

train to Bayeux (by 3pm), dinner, explore

Bayeux Sunday eve, stay in hotel

Mon - full day battle tour, stay hotel

Tues - MSM tour? Train back to Paris, B%26amp;B stay

Wed - Paris, staying at the B%26amp;B

Thu - Paris, staying at the B%26amp;B

Fri - Paris sightseeing, hotel

Sat - flight home

I guess I am torn about cutting the London stay back to 2 nights, but that would make Normandy much more enjoyable...and the main focus of this trip is France anyway. I don%26#39;t want us to be so exhausted by the time we get to Bayeux that we just collapse - but I only have those 2 days in between London and Paris that I can play with, and I don%26#39;t know if just one night in Bayeux might be too ambitious. Any advice you can give me is very much appreciated!!!

If the World War II sites are your main interest I would certainly allow a full day. We just got back last week from our trip to Normandy. We spent 2 nights in Bayeux (1 was basically an arrival night) and we then took the full day %26quot;American Sector%26quot; tour through Battlebus. It was fascinating and yes it was a full day. The guide was really up on his history and we thought it was a good way to see the sights and not have to worry about driving ourselves to each spot. We stayed at Hotel Churchill which actually has a shuttle to MSM too. Trip from Bayeux to MSM is about 1 1/2 hours to drive. Hope this helps.

Thank you. I am definitely leaning towards the 2 nights in Bayeux.

Do you know if the Hotel Churchill shuttle will take other from other hotels? I has seen this somewhere, and I was trying to book with them, but I haven%26#39;t had any luck yet.
