Any ideas for a wonderful honeymoon?

Hi there,

My husband-to-be and I are considering Turkey (Dalaman area)for our honeymoon. We are looking for 10-12 days mid-late September and are looking for something luxurious, by the sea and ideal for rest and relaxation. We would consider both small hotels and self-catering villas, but emphasize the small when referring to hotels and the luxury for villas. Any ideas? Our budget is around the £1500 pp but would go up to £2000 for something amazing. We%26#39;ve seen a couple of interesting hotels in the Faralya, Kalkan and Kas areas. We don%26#39;t like big bustly British tourist resorts and would like something small and friendly with a touch of the real Turkey.

Thanks

Nats

Hello,

Please ignore the above. As you might of guessed we are also considering Turkey, however I%26#39;m totally intrigued by Corsica and know very little about it! I think it would make a great honeymoon destination so wold welcome your ideas, and once again sorry about the above!

Hi Nats

No offence taken! I think Corsica is a marvellous place and would be a perfect location for a honeymoon. Go stick honeymoon in the search box (top right) and you%26#39;ll find advice and guidance for previous Corsica honeymooners.

But. If you want to got for rest and relaxation but something that gives that degree of memorability that you might look for in a honeymoon, but with an eye on the budget, I%26#39;d go to Turkey. Because the truth is that Corsica can be an expensive destination. It has a culture and a beauty that is fairly unique, but you can go out for a simple meal for 2 and pay a lot more than you would in Turkey.

So get a perfect hotel, have a perfect honeymoon in Turkey and come to Corsica for your holiday in Sept 2009.
