Have seen a few places to stay in Nice close to the beach ranging from 50-100 euros per night. We are happy to stay in a cheap hotel or a hostel with a private room. All the reviews are just confusing me and I really just want a local to tell me where is best to stay!!
Do like the idea of a hostel so we can meet a few people as we are spending three and a half months travelling as a couple and its always good to have interaction along the way.. but if not a hostel then an ok hotel in a good location up to 120 euros per night would be great!!!

Hotel Paradis,
Hotel Massenet,
Hotel Med 1,
All the above are within 5/7 minute walk of the sea and no more than 10 minutes to the Pedestrian Area/Old Town/Flower Market etc.
They are all smallish hotels and at around 100e or undar per night for a twin room.

Hotel Solara (rue de France) is cheap and friendly.
It%26#39;s only one block back from the beach and near the main touristy areas. We stayed there last year and found the rooms clean but small. Run by a nice Italian.
