Best way from Paris Est

Our train from Venice, an 8-9 hour scenic trip, arrives into Paris Est at 7.43pm. I assume Paris Est is Gare d%26#39;Est.

What is the best way to get to our hotel in the 7th arrondisement given that we will be tired and it is late.

The hotel says that it can book a shared shuttle for 55 euros for the two of us.

Does anyone know how this compares to a taxi?

Are taxis easy to get at this time and from this train station?

All advice would be appreciated.

Hi;

There are usually plenty of taxis at Gare de l%26#39;Est, but at 7:30pm there may be a line since it is still evening rush hour. Cab company G7 calculates it to be about a 20 minute cab ride, costing between 20-27 euro

There is absolutely no need for a shuttle service pick-up at PARIS-Gare de l%26#39;Est to an address in the 7eme. As noted, there will be regular TAXI PARISIAN readily available (though it%26#39;s always a good idea to put on a bit of %26#39;hustle%26#39; between train arrival platform to taxi rank for international train arrivals) at the regular taxi stand at the station (turn Right onto the main concourse of the station from your arrival platform and walk straight ahead to the TAXI sign. The approx. taxi fare (slightly higher %26#39;B%26#39; fare after 7:00 PM) should probably run 20€ or so.
