I started to look at maybe doing an apt this time around, has anyone used www.homeaway.com before and do you have a favorite apt. you like to stay at?

looking to saty in either 1st,4th,5th,6th or 7th giving myself options for the best deal.

Would like to stay at $1400 or under would prefer under for 7 nights.

Looking for a larger Queen bed 160*200.Still dont know the dates(my husband won%26#39;t tell me)so A/C if possible..if not please let me know we could be going in fall(which I would prefer).

here is an example of a place I found that I liked if this helps.

If you have not used them before do you have a favorite apt you like to rent or a website you favor?

I am only asking for options due to I do not know the surprise dates and would like to give my husband options to book, in case one is already booked for that week.

Cheers,

Magic,

Just wanted to say that homeaway seems to be like VRBO. It is a site where owners list their apartments for rent. So you%26#39;ll be dealing with the owner and not with the agency. That%26#39;s not bad, but it means that one person%26#39;s experience with homeaway could be different from another%26#39;s.

Search this site for apartments. Loads of agencies are listed and recommended. Vacation in Paris if often recommended and their prices are listed in US dollars.

We%26#39;ve stayed in apartments rented from parisianflat.com and parisvacationapartments.com but with the exchange rate now they would be higher than your budget.

ting,

Thank you for the tips. I looked a little on apt sites last year for a our first trip but decided to go with a hotel for our first vacation. So I just thought since we know the areas better this time we might just do an apt.

I just love the idea of buy produce and cheeses and actually be able to store them and maybe eat a dinner in if we are to tired to go out. And being able to turn around and not hitting a wall is a plus too;)and we are small people...

Magic, that%26#39;s the great thing about an apartment. Sometimes we just picked up some bread and cheese (and wine of course) with a tart or something sweet. The outdoor market at Saxe-Breteuil had wonderful things, as they do in other Paris markets.

I just saw this apartment mentioned positively on the forum at slowtrav.com. http://www.experienceparis.com/ It looks nice.
