should we book tours in advance?

Hello:

We are taking a trip to Paris in may%26#39;08.We plan on taking the open bus tour and the bateaux parisiens cruise on river seine.Should I buy the tickets in advance on the internet or should I reach Paris and then purchase the tickets.

Thanks in advance!

You can buy tickets right there. Boats are seldom full and if they are you take next one.

Thanks for your reply!Where can i buy tickets for the open bus tour and bateaux parisiens night cruise??

Thanks again!

Go to www.ratp.fr

Click on the British flag (upper right)

Click on L%26#39;Opentour (on the left)

Scroll down and click on Open tour brochure

The second page has a map of the route and stops. You can purchase tickets onboard and you can pay with cash or a credit card.

For the Bateaux Parisiens, look for the huge signs opposite the Tour Eiffel on the other side of the river. Walk down the stairs to the ticket booth and buy your tickets. There will be a clock in the window with the time of the next available departure (almost always the very next one).

We prefer the Bateaux Mouches. They are much larger, and much busier. But, there%26#39;s lots more room to move around and better photo ops. For one thing, they are higher off the water. And, you are not confined to rows of people obstructing your views/photo ops.

In the nice weather, if you happen to be at the Tour Eiffel, there%26#39;s a free shuttle (watch for vehicles with large signs) from there to the Bateaux Mouches. The drive will sell you tickets and drive you right to the entrance to the docks.

Thanks a lot for your reply!
