Hotel/B&B

We are going to Preovence next week for 8 days. Plan to spend first night in Marseille but would like to spend rest of the time at 1 or 2 other places. I was hoping to stay at nice scenic hotel/B%26amp;B either in one of the small towns or in the country (basically, I want to wake up to view of the olive growes and levander). We will have a car for the entire time so proximity to train/bus is not an issue. We are hoping to see Avignon, Aix, Arles, St.Remy etc. Looking for a place in 200-250 EUR area. Thank you.

Alas, you will not be able to wake up and see lavender groves; they will not be in bloom until mid-to late June. If you%26#39;ll settle for waking up amid citrus trees on the Côte d%26#39;Azur, I would recommend Le Hameau, a lovely little inn just down the road from St-Paul-de-Vence. There are olive trees in the area, just not in the inn%26#39;s complex of buildings. All the rooms are different, and there%26#39;s a horizon pool with a view out to the Mediterranean.

Here%26#39;s the web site: http://www.le-hameau.com/

Given the towns you%26#39;d like to visit during your stay in Provence and your desire for a rural scene I can heartily recommend La Maison Domaine de Bournissac, midway between St.Remy and Avignon (see TA reviews):

If you want to stay in Aix and a lot of people do, try Hotel Le Mozart, which I%26#39;ve reviewed on here.

Check out the B%26amp;bs in the Luberon on this site.

This will place you centrally for the places you want to see.
