Has anyone used apartment-in-france.com/paris by isabelle? I%26#39;m thinking of staying in the Esmeralda studio apartment.

I see you posted this back in January 2006 - just wondering - did you decide to stay there or have you been already? I only ask because it is a studio that is currently on my radar.

Hi Maeryn03,
Yes, I did stay in the Esmeralda studio apartment for 10 days. I really enjoyed it. There are plenty of places to shop and eat just on that street. If you like gelato, go to Amorino just up the street, it%26#39;s very good.
It was very nice to have the washer (no dryer) and a kitchen. The location was perfect, just a couple blocks from Rue de Rivoli. There is no elevator, so you have to walk up about 5 flights of stairs. There was always plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The shower is small and one person can fit in the bathroom at a time. Previous occupants had left plenty of shampoo and body wash, but I had brought my own. The toilet is separate from the bathroom, I liked that. There%26#39;s a curtained closet, but no dresser to store your undies, etc. You have a view of the courtyard and some sun does come into the studio. The studio looks just like it does in the pictures. I would stay in this studio again.
Isabelle was a wonderful host and made sure I had everything I needed. She%26#39;s very easy to work with and trustworthy. This was the first time I stayed in an apartment in Paris and I was very happy with my choice. I didn%26#39;t use the metro much because of the great location.
Have a good trip to Paris!

Thanks so much for taking the time to respond - and especially for giving me all that information. It made my decision to take it that much easier. But, unlucky for me, by the time I replied to the agent that I would take the Esmeraldo Studio - it was gone. Ahhh c%26#39;est la vie. Perhaps I will be able to get it on another visit.
Say, the views of Notre Dame that are posted on the Esmaralda Studio site - are they for real? Can you see all that from that one window???
Just thought I%26#39;d mention - I notice that you used a different company/agent. I was using an agent at %26quot;Charming Hideaways%26quot;. Their website is
http://www.parisvac.com
and they have the pictures of Notre Dame that I mentioned.
Thanks again!

Hi,
Sorry to hear that the apartment is not available for you. The website you were on is wrong about the views. You have to walk a few blocks to get to the Seine, so there is no direct view from the apartment. Isabelle has other apartments, they are a bit more though. You should look at her website.
I checked the link you sent and couldn%26#39;t find the apartment I stayed in. Are you sure we%26#39;re talking about the same apartment?
Well, good luck! I hope you find an apartment.

Hello
Just for your info;
Paris Hideaways is the agency which lists the Esmeralda apartment with views of the Seine river and yes the pictures are taken from the apartment window. So the ad is definitely not deceiving.
There is no Isabelle working at Paris Hideaways and the owner of Esmeralda is not called Isabelle. So I think you are probably talking about another Esmeralda studio in another agency...

Hi!
You are corect. It is a different agency, my mistake. The apartment I was in is in the Marais.
