Hi, we%26#39;ll stay in champs elysee area
Can anyone suggest some kids friendly restaurants in the area?
My 4 year old doesn%26#39;t eat much, so we%26#39;ll have to share the meal most of the time, and I am not a beer/wine person.
my friend suggested RELAIS DE L-ENTRECOTE
I like steak, but my son is not a steak fan. would it be rude if I only order 1 steak and share with my kid?
also La rotisserie d%26#39;en face
for restaurants this level, is it proper to bring my kid for lunch?
any input is appreciated
thanks in advance

Restaurants in Paris are not really kid-friendly, but they%26#39;re not kid-unfriendly either.
At the more casual places, you%26#39;ll be perfectly fine sharing with your child, though you may want to order him an entree (appetizer) or something he%26#39;d enjoy. The steak of steak/frites tends to be very chewy, so he may not be able to manage that anyway.
One place that is kid-friendly, even has a children%26#39;s menu is Chez Flottes, around the corner from Place de la Concorde. They have a website.

My 13 year old went to Paris with a youth group last summer and he is the pickiest eater I have ever run across. He survived the week on cheese Paninis from all those little window vendors scattered throughout the city. (by the end of the trip, he had advanced to HAM and cheese paninis.) If all else fails have your child fill up on these and then order some fries for him while you are dining. I know it doesn%26#39;t sound healthy, but he will survive the week without veggies and you can pick up apples and bananas from the markets.
Another great tip (only because they are loaded with vitamins) is to pack the small boxes of cereal in their suitcase. This also buys you some time in the morning when he is starving and you are still getting ready.
I think you are very lucky to be able to see Paris through the eyes of a child. And please make sure that somewhere on his person he always has a list with your cell phone number and hotel name.
Enjoy!

thank you very much.
We%26#39;ll stick to casual dining and I%26#39;ll certainly buy fruit in the supermarket.

There are lots of Parisien mothers pushing their children in strollers all over Paris. But I can%26#39;t say that I saw children in restaurants much. I would say stick to more casual places to eat, and if your child becomes fussy, please be considerate and get him out of there so he doesn%26#39;t ruin other people%26#39;s meal. (You might do that automatically but lots of parents don%26#39;t seem to care whether they ruin other people%26#39;s meals, movie viewing, etc.)
You can buy delicious jam crepes on the street. There is a creperie at Place de la Concorde where the Tuilleries ends. There are little grocery stores all over Paris. Just stop in and get some supplies, juice, etc.
I don%26#39;t think a restaurant would expect you to order a meal for a 4 year old. However, there might be an appetizer (like someone else mentioned) or side dish or something on the menu which your child might enjoy.
If he doesn%26#39;t eat much at home, assume that he won%26#39;t eat much in Paris. You might end up pleasantly surprised--or not.
In any event, have a great time. There are lots of beautiful parks and wonderful things to do with little kids in Paris. Please use the search function on this site to get ideas. Be sure he gets to float a boat in the pond at Le Jardin du Luxembourg, among other things.
