Eiffel Tower, then CDG

We have a 12.30 reservation at the Eiffel Tower and a 4.40 flight out of CDG. It%26#39;s the only time available and it makes me nervous about the time constraints. Anybody out there - how long does the average lunch take at Altitude 95 and how long would it take to get from the Eiffel Tower to CDG via metro, then RER?

Thanks.

I wouldn%26#39;t do it. If it were me, I%26#39;d be headed to CDG at 12:30.

Theoretically, you can get from the Tour Eiffel/Champ de Mars RER Station to CDG in an hour. But, you have to get from the Tour Eiffel to the station, then to your track. And, depending on your departing terminal, could be a 20-30 minute walk to check-in.

We always get ourselves to CDG at least three hours before our flight. You never know about check-in and security lines. Especially mid-day.

What will you do with your bags? Visitors are prohibited to bring %26quot;over-sized bags%26quot;.

What will you do if you miss your flight?

Even if you had enough time to have your lunch which I don%26#39;t think you do - are you going to enjoy it if you have to rush the meal and then rush to CDG and worry about if you are going to miss your flight?

I think you should plan something else for your last morning in Paris.

Sorry, but I have to agree. CDG is a nightmare, at best, and arriving early is absolutely necessary. I would definitely arrive about 3 hours prior to your flight, and give yourself an hour to get there.

I think you%26#39;re cutting it far too short. If you miss a 4:40 flight, chances are, that%26#39;s the last one of the day. At your cost you will have to re-book your flight (this happened to us last year and there was nothing available the following day!). That could actually mean two extra nights in Paris plus penalties and fees.

All in all, when this happened to us (due to a transportation strike with another carrier) we ended up spending about $2,000 extra with hotels, meals, and penalties.

See the tower while you%26#39;re there and forego lunch at A95. It%26#39;s fun, but not fun enough to make up for the problems you%26#39;ll have if you miss that flight.

I wouldn%26#39;t risk it, personally.

Have a great trip!
