We have spent several holidays in St Jean (both summer and Christmas) and are absolutely smitten with the place. It%26#39;s calm and beautiful, yet close to Nice and Monaco. There are great beaches like Paloma Beach with superb food and the beach restaurant is fabulous in the evenings when it%26#39;s dark. There is harbour with several restaurants by the waterside for great dining al fresco. You should visit the beautiful Villa Ephrussi de Rotschild with great gardens and there is even a zoo on Cap Ferrat if you are travelling with children. I warmly recommend Cap Ferrat.

Thank you Lena61 for your review.
My husband and I will be in Nice soon and intend to visit St. Jean Cap Ferrat on one of the days we are there.
We have already been to the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild but not the actual town itself. Does the bus from Nice that stops at the Villa go on to the main resort?

We usually have a rental car so I%26#39;m not too familiar with the buses but there are bus stops in the village so it%26#39;s probably the same bus as to Villa Ephrussi. The village is quite small but there are a few shops and you can also take nice walks round the Cap or just to Beaulieu through Place David Niven where you can see his house. Have a great holiday!
