would like to know of WINERY close to CARCES near brignoles

HEllo I am going to be in carces for 1 week it about 45 minutes east i think of aix and would like to know if anyone knows of any wineries close to carces worht looking into / thanks in advance

I don%26#39;t know the area at all, but as you%26#39;ve had no replies yet, I did some googling and found there are some caves listed on the tourist info website la-provence-verte.net/us/accueil/accueil.htm The vineyards and cellars section is only in French - select the village you%26#39;re interested in on the drop down list and click %26#39;Rechercher%26#39;. It may not be relevant to you, but it appears that the only one in Carces which offers visits in English is Clos Gautier.

The town of Cuers is only 25 km from Brignoles and they make excellent wines.

What a beautiful part of the world you are going to - and right in the heart of the Inland Côtes de Provence wine area producing not just rosé but increasingly good red wines.

A good place to start would be at the Maisons des Vins Côtes de Provence in Les Arcs sur Argens

Information on the region’s wines is offered along with a wide selection of wines for tasting and buying (five

whites, five reds and five rosés are offered each week). There is an attached restaurant. Be warned they are closed on Wednesdays.

Also, closer to where you are staying Elizabeth Gabay MW who writes for www.winetravelguides.com and lives in Provence recommends a visit to the winery Domaine Gavoty in Cabasse (www.gavoty.com) - you can go there every day except Sunday without appointment.
