we will be in Nice in July. We are staying at Hotel Les Cigales. Please advise places to eat near Hotel. Also any suggestions on things we can do. This is our first time in Nice. We will only be there for 2 days.
Really appreciate any advice. Thanks in advance

We have been staying across the street from Les Cigales on our trips at the Windsor. A marvelous. small, very French restaraunt, one of our very favorites is Pot d%26#39;Etienne on Meyerbeer street. It is a block down and a block over and then a half block down from your hotel. Also, for a change of pace, two blocks down and 1/4 block over is a n really great chinese place called China Park. Believe me, this place is very well known among the locals and tourists have also discovered it. This is great chinese food! One of Nices best restaraunts is a couple of blocks from your hotel. The staff can direct you to Les Villiers (bistro side). It is known for seafood but serves other entrees and the food and service is impeccable. Aside from that, walk to the old town and have lunch at La Viglia. Get there by noon or stand in line. Share or bring an appetite as portions are large as well as delicious. and of course there are many place to dine in the old town.

I stayed at Hotel les Cigales. I had dinner near by at Il Vinaino which is just a block down from the hotel (33 Rue Buffa) my first night. I needed something near by since I was a little bit jet lagged. It is a good Italian restaurant but not necessarily very Nicoise. I also had a nice dinner at La Maison de Marie at the end of Rue Massena (5 rue Massena). It is down a small walkway in a courtyard. Lots of quick pizza options also on Rue Massena. I%26#39;d also check into the options in Vieux Nice such as La Voglia recommended above. It is only about a 20 minute walk to the Vieux Nice.
